Sketchbook It

RiGBY is most certainly going to be posted tomorrow, and to tide you over here's a fine selection of sketchbook doodles for upcoming RiGBY characters.

Crises of Infinite RiGBY's

Can't show much in the way of a teaser for yesterday's RiGBY, just head over and read it. Seriously. As Marvel and DC are always saying, "this is the issue that changes RiGBY's world FOREVER!!!"

Rise of the Snake Men

(An early sketch of the Tegu with a discarded color scheme.)

Every good barbarian needs to have a run in with reptilian humanoids. Perseus had Medusa, Conan had Set, Kull had Thulsa Doom, He-Man had the Snake Men, and Adam had Lucifer. That doesn't even take into consideration these guys.
As you can see, at some point RiGBY would have to battle reptile people, the genre demands it.

Doodlin'

I've been so focused on RiGBY lately that I haven't drawn much else. Not complaining, as RiGBY exists so that I get to draw all my favorite stuff, but today I started doodling after lunch and He-Man couldn't help but come out.
That said, there's a new RiGBY up over there. I'm really excited for this week's strips, and can't wait to until you guys see the next one.

From the Vault

I had the house to myself this weekend, so I spent a considerable amount of time down in my office working on RiGBY and attempting to tidy up. While tidying I happened to unearth about 25 of the original 8 page RiGBY minicomics I put together for Planet ComicCon back in March. This is practically prenatal RiGBY, as the concept and characters hadn't been refined and I had no idea where the story would go. The basics are still there: archeologist, magic sword and dinosaurs. The five comic pages included were all drawn over the one weekend before Planet ComicCon. There's also a short introduction to the webcomic in the front and a blank back page I used for sketches when I gave them out.
I'm telling you all this because I'm never going to reprint this mini-comic, so if you have one it's gonna be worth like a million dollars or something. If you would like to get a hold of one of these (and thus ensure a comfortable retirement for you and your loved ones), all you have to do is head over HERE and click that "DONATE" button on the right. I'm asking for $4, but I'm also throwing in a sketch on the back cover of whatever you want. Just put it in the subject line when you click "DONATE."

RiGBY Update

Did you catch the two new RiGBY updates this week. On Wednesday we got a glimpse of RiGBY (and the author's) enthusiasm for Dinosaurs. And yesterday we got some exposition, and a tease for some possible new adversaries. Hope you're enjoying the ride so far, as I'm really enjoying drawing this thing.
I'll also be adding new features to the site as we go. I was thinking of making some wallpapers, and would be open to suggestions. The image above seems like an obvious choice. As does the large panel from this comic, and this page.
